Postnatal yoga
Whatever your birth experience; good or bad, postnatal yoga can help you heal and recover, giving you an oasis of peace and calm.
Your body after birth
In yoga we work on the whole body; gently toning to regain strength and flexing to release aches and tension in the whole of your body. Just some of the things postnatal yoga can do is to help readjust the internal organs, gently tone the overstretched muscles and regain pelvic floor strength. Your body will also benefit greatly from the restful relaxation that is part of every session.
Your emotions after birth
Yoga can help you adjust to the postnatal life. Postnatal yoga offers a quiet space in which you can recognise, accept and deal with the myriad of feelings associated with the postnatal period, whether they are positive or negative.
Even if you are taking postnatal life in your stride, postnatal yoga gives you a sacred space to be you.
Other benefits of postnatal yoga
As well as non-judgemental support from your teacher, there is an opportunity to meet others and the chance to chat and support each other.
