What will I be doing at Yoga for the Overweight

All the usual techniques of a 'normal' yoga practice, but the techniques are designed to accommodate the special needs of the larger person.

  • Asana (postures) and vinyasa (sequences) adapted to suit the shape and dexterity of the overweight person.
  • Pranayama (breathing exercises) techniques which have been found to help with weight loss
  • Relaxation techniques to reduce the anxiety and stress that can often beleaguer the larger person
